The National Institute of Transport (NIT) is a Public Higher Learning Institution with the primary objective of providing Education and Training, conducting Research and Consultancy in the field of Logistics, Management and Transport Technology.

The National Institute of Transport has five (5) faculties which include the Faculty of Aviation, Maritime and Petroleum Technology, Transport Engineering and Technology, Logistics and Business Studies and faculty of Informatics and Technical Studies.

The Institute offers 2 Master’s Degrees, 18 Bachelor's Degrees and 23 Ordinary Diploma courses for 2 years, 3 years, and 4 years, depending on the area of specialization. The Institute offers multiple short courses as well, covering all modes of transport.

Qualification:

Bachelor degree (NTA Level 8) in Civil Engineering with GPA of not less than 3.0 from any recognized Institution.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

To teach up to NTA level 6 (Ordinary Diploma);
To prepare learning resources for tutorials and practical exercises
To assist in conducting research under close supervision;
To conduct assessments for students up to NTA level 6;
To assist in conducting tutorials for Bachelor's Degree students under close supervision;
To carry out consultancy and community services under close supervision; and
To perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
